A GLIMPSE OF THE EARLY LIFE

I was born in a small village named Kesinga, Odisha, and later shifted to Raipur during my early childhood. I was always a mischievous backbencher during my school days. Our family business of Khaini (a form of chewing tobacco) manufacturing ages back 50 years, started by my grandparents. Having little or almost no inclination toward studies, I entered the family business during high school. Then, I pursued graduation in commerce.

Parallelly I was handling the sales and marketing of our family business traveling almost 22 days in a month with a hectic and breakless schedule.
In 2007, I started stepping into the manufacturing department of our company.
In a few years, I strikingly automated the entire manufacturing unit.

ESTABLISHMENT OF SWARAJ EXPRESS

In 2013-14, while everything was moving smoothly, an incident proved to be a turning point in my life and paved my path toward media.
I, along with my few colleagues established an office in Rajeev Nagar and launched a news channel called Swaraj Express The field of media was completely new for me though my experience in marketing helped me in branding the company. I, along with the team, conducted aggressive research and development to accomplish the vision of this company sailing through challenges.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR WORK?

If you ask me, apart from helping the masses, media is a mini- Bollywood industry. It has glamour, name, fame, and everything that attracts the limelight. I think this is the best part.

BEING IN THE MEDIA FIELD SO FAR, WHAT DO YOU THINK CG
HAS BUT PEOPLE EITHER DON’T KNOW OR HAVEN’T GOT
ENOUGH RECOGNITION?

The most underestimated segment of Chhattisgarh is Tourism. Chhattisgarh is a hub of incredible tourist destinations. Lack of awareness is the main hindrance to the growth of tourism in Chhattisgarh. Be it Bastar in itself, is a treasure of the natural beauty of Chhattisgarh. Tourism aspects can reach immense heights if proper promotions are done over time.

WHAT IS THE MOST CHALLENGING TASK THAT YOU FACED IN
YOUR CAREER SO FAR?

In the field of media, every day, every hour, and every second is a
challenge. That is all I can sum up!

HOW HAS YOUR COMPANY APPROACH EVOLVED OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS?

In the last few years, especially during COVID-19, we realized the value of time. Now we have started encouraging our team to establish a work-life balance. Along with staying committed to work, spend quality time with family and friends. To have a relaxed life beyond the office.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS? HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE THIS WORK AHEAD?

As of now, we are focused on maintaining a good channel in the five states we have established our presence. Our next target is to establish this platform in other Hindi-speaking and
understanding states. To drive the youth and English readers, we have launched an English version of our website and we are still working to make our website more interactive.

WHAT LOOPHOLES NEED TO BE FILLED AT THE EARLIEST IN CG FROM THE ADMINISTRATION AS WELL AS THE PUBLIC POINT OF VIEW?

The Development of the IT sector and medical facilities are the two biggest loopholes that need to be filled in Chhattisgarh. People still emigrate to other cities for the jobs in IT sector. The lack of medical facilities also forces people to move out to critical health care.

HOW WOULD YOU GUIDE YOUNGSTERS TO START THEIR BUSINESSES?

My simple advice for aspiring entrepreneurs would be to have a bigger vision in life and stop chasing short-term or easy money. Secondly, I would like to convey to them to realize the value of teamwork in an organization. Thirdly, I advise them to value time and encash it efficiently. Lastly, I advise people to get tech-friendly with the advancement in the digital arena.

Launching Lalluram.com

The website was the brainchild of one of our colleagues
In 2017, Lalluram.com was launched. Soon, it became the talk of the town with its successful sensational news. People were boggled about the identity of Lalluram, while some even humanified it. With time our TRP increased and at present, Lalluram has established its presence in five states of India, viz. Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh. Delhi, and Punjab.

Around 2019-20, Our unit separated from Swaraj Express and associated with News 24, headquartered in Noida, and started managing its editorial.
The sole aim of the entire organization is to help the public in every possible manner as far as it lies Inside our moral, ethical, and legal boundaries and to create a recognition of Chhattisgarh at the national level through our news and videos

WHAT WAS THE IDEA BEHIND THE NAME “LALLURAM” AND THE DESIGN OF ITS LOGO?

While brainstorming for the names, it clicked to us that “Lallu” is one of the most common and humorous names. We associated it with the typical suffix in the Indian name “Ram” and it became “Lalluram” Since Lalluram is a media company that has to strongly abide by the truth. our tagline says, “Sach Kahenge Lalluram”. The logo of the company indicates a pen – the sword of a journalist while the wide eyes point to their fearless attitude. The green color behind the Lalluram indicates “We Go Green”, specifying that we are digital.
